Your device overview in the Portal can be viewed in a List view or Card view
. Using the Card view, you can view more information from each machine in your device overview.
You can add one card to every machine, create as many different cards as you need, customize each card for a specific machine, and even create your own custom components. This will optimize the available information for every machine and will make the most important details available at a glance.
Please follow the steps below to get everything set up:
Create a device card
Cards are created in the Studio, linked in the Fleet Manager, and used in the Portal.
- Go to Studio > Cards > and click on
Add new card.
- You can also use an existing card as starting point by creating a Duplicate from the card's settings

- Changes are automatically saved as a draft. Don't forget to Publish the card when you're done to publish your latest changes to the Portal. If you're unhappy with your changes, you can also Revert to published version from the card's settings

- In the right menu you can find the Card settings (details below). If you do not see the card settings, make sure to click with your mouse on an empty part of the page and expand the menu

Setting Description Time period The card's time period determines which period is shown in data components. Labels Labels can be used to organize your Studio overview and find pages, cards, and reports more easily. , in the top left corner, select a device to preview the card on.

Component overview
Component Description Info components: Device Card Header General information about the device: name, location and connection status. Remote Access components: Device Card Actions Enables the user to VPN connect to the device, and to use the device's VNC and HTTP services. Historical Data components:
Requires Historical dataGauge Gauge component. Component options: custom color-coded scaling. Multiple values Shows multiple values. Component options: data aggregation (max, mean, etc) and color rules. Single Value Show a single value. Component options: data aggregation (max, mean, etc) and color rules. Statusbar Horizontal bar that displays color-coded status over a period of time. Translating a single data tag's value into custom and more descriptive values (e.g. boolean true = status "Machine running"). Tank Water tank component. Component options: custom color-coded scaling. Setting Description Aggregator The time period displayed on a card generally contains more than one logged value. Some components, like a Single Value component, contain an aggregator setting to determine which value to display. The following aggregators are available:
First Shows the first logged value in the displayed time period. Median Shows the middle logged value in the displayed time period. Last Shows the last logged value in the displayed time period. Min Shows the minimum logged value in the displayed time period. Mean Shows the average of all the logged values in the displayed time period. Max Shows the maximum logged value in the displayed time period. Sum Shows the sum of all the logged values in the displayed time period. Mode Shows the value that occurred most often in the displayed time period. Count Shows the amount of values logged in the displayed time period. Range Shows the difference between the minimum and the maximum logged value in the displayed time period. Difference-Last Shows the difference between the last value in the previous time period and the last value in the displayed time period. Decimals
(optional)Enter the amount of numbers you want to display after the decimal point. Unit
(optional)Enter the unit you wish to show behind the value.
To apply the same unit in every component, leave the unit field empty and instead enter the unit at the Variable in your device's Data source in the Fleet Manager.Factor
(optional)Enter the factor you wish to apply to the logged value. May be used to translate grams to kilograms for example. This does not change the logged value. It only affects the displayed value.
To apply the same factor in every component, leave the factor field empty and instead enter the factor at the Variable in your device's Data source in the Fleet Manager. - You can move (drag), resize (click and drag), copy & paste (right-click), and remove (right-click) components. Tip: you can also copy a component from one card and paste it onto another card.
- When displaying a boolean in a component, use 0 instead of FALSE and 1 instead of TRUE in the component settings and rules.

Previewed in the top right corner to see how it would look like in the Portal.
- Don't forget to Publish the card in the top right corner to effectively start using your latest changes in the Portal.
Link a device card to a device
Cards are linked to a device in the Fleet Manager and used in the Portal.
- Go to Fleet Manager > Devices and click on your device name.
- In the left menu, go to View.
- Under Cards, select the card for the device.
- The card can be viewed in the Portal by everyone with access to the device.
